What's new with Alexa this week?

Take a look at what's new with AI assistant Alexa this week as she develops her powers and tries to help you get stuff done.

Alexa can tell you where things are in the world

Alexa can tell you where pretty much anything in the world is! Her latest example is when you say: “Alexa, where is the International Space Station?”.

Be at the match, thanks to Alexa and Amazon Prime

Game. Set. Match. This next skill requires Echo Show, Echo Spot or Fire TV and a Amazon Prime subscription. Simply say: “Alexa, play the ATP match.”

Alexa can help your child sleep easy at night time

Take a break from the screen with this new Alexa skill that'll help your child get a great night sleep, so they can be ready for whatever the next day throws at them. You'll need to ensure Kid Skills are enabled on your Echo device as they're turned off by default.

Amazon have summed up this bedtime Kid Skill by saying: "This Kid Skill will make your children’s bedtime smoother with sleep stories and soothing sounds."

Most requested

These are the most requests, skills and questions that Alexa has had to perform or answer recently

1. Acronym: “Alexa, what does NASA stand for?”

2. Flash Briefing: “Alexa, what’s in the news?”
