This easy to follow how to guide will show you how to quickly access the notification centre of your phone

With smartphones getting bigger and bigger, it does also mean the screens double in size, too. Take the Google Pixel 3 XL, Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10+ and the iPhone XS Max, for example.

Samsung's latest flagship smartphone is the super stunning Galaxy S10. The S10 lineup includes the S10e, standard S10 and the Galaxy S10+. There is also a Galaxy S10 5G on the cards, which will be released when 5G lands on mobile networks right across the UK, and in other parts of the world.

The standard 'normal sized' Galaxy S10 rocks a 6.1" display, whilst its big brother, the Galaxy S10+ sports a larger 6.4" sized screen! As far as the Galaxy S10 5G goes, it'll have a massive 6.7 inch display! That's absolutely huge!

As with the bigger displays, it means you've got to have a big hand, as well as a large hand to maximise your usage of the S10.

We're not sure about you, but for us, it can sometimes be hard to access the notification centre on your Galaxy S10, as you've gotta hold the phone firmly and then use your thumb to pull down the notification centre from the top of the screen to see what's going on in your life.

That's a lot of work and effort right there, so we've come up with a time-saving tip to make things easy for those who own a Samsung Galaxy S10e, S10, S10+ and indeed, the Galaxy S10 5G when it launches.

How To: Swipe down on your home screen to access the notification centre

1. Head over to the Settings page on your phone - you can swipe up or down on the home screen and select 'Settings' from the list of apps, or swipe down on the notification centre and select the settings cog in the top right hand corner

2. Scroll down in the Settings menu and select the 'Display' option

3. Scroll down on the 'Display' menu and select 'Home screen'

4. Select 'Quick-open notification panel' and toggle the option so it's turn on

Once you've enabled this feature, you'll be able to swipe down on your phone's home screen to access your notifications and the notifications centre! You'll also still be able to swipe up from the home screen to access your app drawer.

Note: this only works on the home screen.
