Want to try out Google Stadia in the UK? Good luck with that
There will be no beta tests for Google's new gaming platform - Google Stadia - in Europe or the UK, according to Bit-Tech.net. Beta tests, however, are being run in the USA and it seems that this'll be enough for Google to resolve any bugs and issues before Stadia is launched.
What is Google Stadia?
It's Google's attempt to have a slice in the gaming market, as it is fair to say that the gaming industry has grown in the past few years and will continue to do so for as long as we live.
Stadia is a cloud-based gaming platform, so there won't be any need for a physical console (like the Xbox One or Playstation 4) or any discs. The Stadia controller will connect to the internet via your router at home. A Google Chrome Cast allows the games to be streamed and viewed into your TV, so you don't need to be confined to using a small screen on your mobile phone, for example, all the time.
And because it's a Google made product and brand, it doesn't stop there. For those who don't know, Google own the service we know and love - YouTube - and so with this in mind, streaming to YouTube whilst using Stadia will be possible and this may have an advantage to other cloud-based gaming platforms out there.
Google Stadia will officially launch in November this year and pre-orders have started now. As of yet, we don't know the exact dates and times in November, though.
Beta tests in the US only
It has been said that because the US is a far bigger country, they'll have another bata testers there to resolve and iron out any issues that show. From the Bit-Tech report, it has also been said that they've run out of time for beta testing in the UK, but if Google had more time, they would've opened it up to the UK market to play about with.
