Amazon to fix bug which makes creepy Alexa laugh
Amazon's Alexa has started laughing, and not at funny jokes.
Nope. No joke here. The good news is that Amazon are aware of the issue and are working on it.
Voice assistants such as Alexa respond or act in a quick way when they are spoken to. Alexa's 'wake' words are: "Alexa", "Echo", or "Amazon". The default word is of course "Alexa".
Users are describing the laugh to be able "witch like". Amazon are changing the phrase to be "Alexa, can you laugh?", instead of the current one "Alexa, laugh.". In some (not many circumstances, it's hearing "Alexa, laugh".
They are also changing the response Alexa gives: "from simply laughter to 'sure, I can laugh' followed by laughter."
