EE customers have faced nightmares as some customers are unable to make calls to mobiles and landlines.

The service has been down for most of the day, although all was fine early morning. It mainly affects calls to non-EE numbers.

EE's social media channels have been flooded with customers venting anger and asking what's going on. EE say mobile data (3G / 4G), emergency calls and texting (SMS / MMS) are all working as normal.

They are working to resolve this mayor issue as quickly as possible and assures customers it's a "high priority".

It seems that EE aren't the only network provider with this issue: BT and Plusnet are affected too.

On Twitter, EE have said the issue should be fixed by 6pm.
